Andrew has been recording musicians and bands since 1989. Learning to record and mix using a 16 channel Mackie mixer with live-to-air concerts on a local radio station.

Over the years Andrew gained experience recording a large variety of musical genres (rock, jazz, folk, acapella, country, classical, soloists) with many live concerts being broadcast live to air in the days before low-cost multi-track recording, there was a requirement to get the mix right quickly and on the first attempt.

Andrew has mixed hundreds of bands and also live-to-air outside broadcasts for radio.

In 2012 Andrew purchased a new multi-core cable which would not fit into a 2-door car along with all the other recording equipment. At this time Andrew purchased a large yellow Ford Transit van which became known as the Big Yellow Van. The Big Yellow Van has been fitted out as a mobile recording and broadcast studio with the ability to capture, record and stream audio live to anywhere in the world.

Over the last 5 years the Big Yellow Van has been used to record and broadcast hundreds of live concerts and live events for the local radio station.

Recording is a lifelong passion for Andrew who is always in the pursuit of excellence on a mission to capture excellent quality audio recordings of live events and musicians in their own homes.

Andrew and a team of recording engineers regularly record live concerts in the Northern Beaches area of Sydney and broadcast them on the program, “RNBLive” on Radio Northern Beaches on Sunday evenings at 7pm. (See RNBLive.net)
